Friday

We were woken by distant rumbles of thunder. Zoe cooked up a delicious breakfast and it was time to set off climbing.

Back to camp to pack our bags and grab a quick snack before our last activity Nightline. This is a blindfold obstacle course and gives the opportunity for Tracy to get her revenge on those selfie taking staff! They were sprinkled with cold water and tickled with leaves all of which took them by surprise in the darkness.

And that was that. We returned to camp for lunch and to finish our packing. Our ice cream man arrived on time and then we paid a quick visit to the tuck shop before setting off to school. It was very quiet on the return journey as most of the passengers were asleep!

Tracy would like to thank all the students and staff for making this an amazing trip for us all.

Thursday

We were up bright and early, some Brighter and earlier than others - 4.10am for Dylan and Josh!! After breakfast it was a short walk to our first activity of the day - archery.

It was a beautiful sunny day and after a bungee trampoline session we were all ready for lunch. As soon as we had finished our hot dogs we heard the distant tunes of the ice cream man. Students refused to believe that the ice cream man only plays his music when he's run out of ice cream so everyone was treated to a refreshing snack - and Mr Whippy was booked to return the next day!

Canoeing was next and what a perfect day for it. We drove to meet our instructors at the lake. Sadly this would be our last ever session with West Heaths favourite instructor Ben as he is off to America. He didn't let us down and this was the best canoe session we have ever had. Students raced around the lake, sang songs and were even duped into believing that L'Oreal use the lake water in their shampoo products - this resulted in them taking turns dunking their heads into the chilly water and then whipping their whilst saying ' because I'm worth it'. Everyone was given a score out of 10, Zoe won with 10 out of 10 for her performance. When everyone was in shallower waters they were given the opportunity to jump in.

This really was a wonderful afternoon. We returned to camp for a shower and well deserved dinner of pasta bologna isle and then set off to our evening activity- the tunnels.

After scrambling round in the dirty, dark tunnels it was back to camp for a shower. We then had a fun evening of hot chocolate, s'mores and stories. We played music and danced, a very special moment was the whole group marching round the field to the sounds of Barry White, this was topped off with a view of the International Space Station as it flew over. After another story it was off to bed and not surprisingly everyone was straight off to sleep.
